Haley Broski

DALLAS – March 9, 2023 – CONNECTIVE Agency senior vice president, Whitney McAnallen, recently accepted a position on the board of directors for the Business Council for the Arts, an organization focused on inspiring and stimulating businesses in Dallas/Fort Worth to support the arts in the workplace, in education and in the community.

The Business Council for the Arts (BCA) collaborates with business and government decision makers across North Texas to foster outstanding arts management, volunteer leadership and broader arts investment with the goal of ensuring the Dallas/Fort Worth area’s developments as a regional cultural center. The arts are a major component of a successful economic region, and the development of a creative workforce keeps North Texas on the leading edge of world business. Founded by Raymond D. Nasher in 1988, the torch has now been passed to his daughter, Nancy A. Nasher, who serves as the founder’s chair for the board.

“Whitney McAnallen brings expertise that BCA has long been seeking to add to our board of directors,” said Joel Austin, chair of the board of directors, Business Council for the Arts. “Her experience in marketing and communications, as well as the arts, coupled with her vision and energy will help the BCA evolve and reach our potential.”

As senior vice president at CONNECTIVE Agency, a boutique full-service marketing agency based in Dallas, Whitney loves working alongside civic, community and enterprise leaders to strategize and execute marketing and communications plans that are aligned with their organizational growth goals. Her strategic leadership and entrepreneurial mindset are invaluable to clients seeking original and meaningful solutions and a simple yet effective path to achieving their goals.

Whitney began her career as a video editor for an ABC News affiliate and later spent time working for Apple Inc. before she launched a Dallas-based small business providing curatorial services to clients across the country. With a passion for helping others, Whitney also spent seven years at a Title I public school district where she had experience leading district-wide communications and marketing campaigns.

“Not only am I thrilled to join the BCA board, but we at CONNECTIVE Agency are excited to participate as a member company,” said Whitney McAnallen. “The BCA team and its board of directors bring a high level of business intelligence and cultural sophistication to their work and it shines through in their creative programming like Arts & Health and Arts & Real Estate.”

BCA funds and manages many arts-related programs in the region, including Art at Work programs meant to visually enhance the work environment while showcasing company values and promoting cross-cultural understanding. The organization also hosts educational webinars on how the arts work within different industries and recently supported a study measuring the economic impact of nonprofit arts and cultural organizations across the United States.
