DALLAS, AUGUST 11, 2020 – Jacqueline Chen Valencia, partner at CONNECTIVE Agency has joined the Baylor Scott & White Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center Board of Advisors. The Board of Advisors is focused on providing counsel on strategy, fundraising, community linkage, and political influence related to oncology care/services for Baylor Sammons Cancer Center and the dedicated cancer hospital.
The Baylor Sammons Cancer Center is one of the largest cancer treatment centers in the U.S., treating more than 150,000 patients each year. The Center is also an innovative leader in cancer research, participating in over 380 active clinical trials, and providing new immunotherapies that re-engineer your existing cells, giving your body the power to fight cancer from the inside.
In addition to their innovative treatments, the Center is expanding resources for patients and their families. In 2021, the Gene and Jerry Jones Family Hope Lodge will open its doors for patients to have access to short-term on-campus lodging before or after treatment. The Hope Lodge is built in partnership with the American Cancer Society and will have 50 suites and communal spaces across 40,000 square feet for patients and caregivers.
